A town known for its efficient public services, Reggio Emilia also provides a great number of green spaces for its citizens and visitors. These parks include the Oasis of Marmirolo. Protected by the WWF and LIPU, and the Parco del Gigante which encompasses Monte Prado, Monte Cusna and the Succiso Alps.
Not to be missed: the Benedetto Cloisters, the Cloisters of St Pietro, the Cloisters of St Domenico, the Cathedral, the Basicilica of St Prospero, the Church of St Girolamo and St Vitale, and the Basilica of the Beata Virgine della Ghiara.
