Grand Hotel Rimini introduction
The Grand Hotel Rimini, immersed in green gardens and just steps away from the Adriatic sea, was inaugurated at the start of the 20th century. Then, as now, this wonderfully elegant hotel designed by Paolo Somazzi offered the most sumptuous rooms and irreproachable, first class service to a particularly discerning international clientele. The public rooms and suites of the Grand Hotel Rimini are still graced with the crystal chandeliers and 18th century Venetian and French antiques which greeted the first guests arriving at the hotel in 1908.
A national monument under the protection of the Superintendent of Fine Arts, the Grand Hotel Rimini acquired world wide fame in the 1970's after Federico Fellini, a regular guest at the hotel, used the establishment as backdrop in such legendary films such as the 1973 movie "Amarcord" (I remember).
There are 117 beautifully appointed bedrooms and suites in the Grand Hotel and a further 51 guestrooms in the Grand Hotel Residenza, all lavishly furnished and offering the very latest in audiovisual and communication technology, including WI-FI connectivity. The hotel's ornately embellished ballroom, hung with immense crystal chandeliers and decorated with fabulous pieces of antique furniture, provides a magnificent venue for glamorous social events and banquets.
The Grand Hotel Rimini's conference center, built next to the hotel in 1992 and completely renovated in 2000, houses 7 multifunctional rooms equipped with state-of-the-art meeting room technology. An additional 7 rooms are available in the Grand Hotel.
A large open air swimming pool is situated in the gardens of the hotel. A second pool is located on the Grand Hotel Rimini's private beach.
